Far East DDB Executive wins award in Charity Drive for sick children
18 Oct, 2004
Far East DDB executive, Nick Jonsson has received a Golden Target Award from the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).
The award was presented on October 18, 2004, at the Golden Target Awards dinner in the Great Hall of Parliament House, Canberra, which is the Australian PR industry's glamour event of the year.
Mr. Jonsson was honored for the great success of a Charity Golf Day (Bond University Make-A-Wish Golf Day), which he organized in February 2004.
The event raised AUD 18,500 (THB 553, 000), which was donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a charitable organization that grants wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, to provide them with a special treat.
Mr. Jonsson graduated earlier this year from Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia with a master's degree in Public Relations. In August he moved to Bangkok to work for Far East DDB, a leading brand building marketing communication agency.
Rudiger Reinecke, managing director of Far East DDB, commented: "Nick's winning of this prestigious award recognizes both his professional skills and his commitment to helping others in the community. To have good people with these qualities is essential for any organization in the service sector."
